Manson Centre Lathe


        For small, precision work, for making of small parts and tools.

        Steel, cast iron and aluminum alloy parts, with gears of steel and brass. Cast iron bed, two large V ways, an expensive construction, to align headstock, carriage and tailstock, heavily reinforced with large cross braces. Headstock equipped with a ground hollow steel spindle mounted on self-oiling porous bronze bearings. 3/16 in. hole through which bar stock up to 1/8 in. in diameter can be fed.

        110-volt alternating current induction motor, controlled by a switch mounted on front of lathe base. Motor mounted inside base, provided with a fan to keep cool under continuous operation.

        Lugs cast on end of base and inside of cabinet for fastening lathe to bench. Motor drive oil-proof Neoprene belts. Two step pulley provides for two spindle speed changes.

        Carriage with hand wheel control also automatic power feed. Cam with locking set-screw located in front of apron, adjustable stainless steel plate at rear of carriage. Carriage locked by means of screw located at right front top corner.

        Length 9-3/16 in., width 3-11/16 in., height 6-3/4 in. Work capacity between centers 3 in., swing over carriage 4 in., swing over bed 2 in., collet capacity 1/8 in.

        Complete with 1-1/2 in. face plate, 2 lathe centers, tool post and
rocker. Allen wrench, quick clamping tail stock, lathe dog, tool bit, test rod, 110 volt A.C. induction motor and switch, attachment plug.
